Peace for Health – Peaceful Preparation For Surgery

Peaceful Preparation for Surgery is a self-paced workbook and audio programme designed to help you prepare emotionally, practically and physically as you approach surgery.

Preparing for surgery can affect many areas of life, from practical arrangements and responsibilities to anxiety, uncertainty, and the simple awareness that something significant is approaching. This programme offers a structured framework to help you prepare in a calm and thoughtful way.

This workbook was inspired by my own experience of preparing for major surgery and the approaches that I found most helpful at the time. It combines relaxation audios, reflection activities, and practical preparation prompts. The aim is to support nervous system settling and reduce background stress in the lead-up to surgery. The emphasis is not on positive thinking or avoiding difficult feelings, but on acknowledging your feelings and finding steadiness as you prepare.

What’s included:

• Downloadable workbook with activities and reflection prompts
• MP3 audio recordings including 2 relaxation exercises
• Practical preparation checklists

This programme is suitable for anyone preparing for surgery who would like a practical, self-paced approach that complements medical care.

Important: This programme is designed to complement medical care and does not replace medical advice, treatment, or psychological support. Always follow the guidance of your medical team.
